Our Dental Office:

Dr. Mitch Conditt at Fort Worth Snoring & Sleep Center is a dentist with more than 30 years of experience. He has specialized in providing TMJ therapy and full-mouth reconstructions, but over the past 15 years, he has taken many hours of continuing education focused on mandibular advancement devices designed to treat sleep breathing disorders as well as chronic facial pain and headaches. He currently maintains active memberships in the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine, Academy of Clinical Sleep Disorders Disciplines, American Academy of Orofacial Pain, and the American Academy of Craniofacial Pain. He is board certified with the American Board of Craniofacial Dental Sleep Medicine and has been awarded Fellowship with the American Academy of Craniofacial Pain.

What We Do:

As a dentist, Dr. Conditt knows that he cannot fully diagnose a sleep and breathing disorder, but he can identify those that are CPAP intolerant. He understands that CPAP therapy is the “gold standard” of sleep apnea treatment and always follows the guidelines set up by the 2006 American Academy of Sleep Medicine’s “Practice Parameters with Oral Appliances and the Treatment of Sleep Apnea.”

He primarily uses oral appliance therapy to help patients with TMJ problems as well as mild to moderate obstructive sleep apnea, including those who have not found success with a CPAP or corrective surgery. We are also able to help facilitate sleep testing for patients that suspect they have Obstructive Sleep Apnea as well as guide them to PAP therapy if deemed appropriate.

Our Protocol:

Dr. Conditt will never begin OSA treatment on a patient without a current sleep test unless it has been authorized by a physician’s office. Patients must sign an affidavit to CPAP intolerance and have a prescription for an oral appliance from their doctor in order to be treated. Communication between Dr. Conditt and a patient’s doctor will be constant and open, and treatment updates will always be promptly given upon request.

How We Treat:

Every patient is given a comprehensive oral exam at their first appointment, and this includes an investigation of their facial muscles and TMJ as well.

All oral appliances used by Dr. Conditt are FDA 510k approved. When designing them, he considers TMJ support and comfort, which will lead to better treatment and patient compliance. All appliances are carefully calibrated. Once a patient’s sleep symptoms have dramatically improved they will be referred back for a final sleep test to determine the efficacy of their oral appliance. If the appliance needs further calibration we will continue to work with the patient until the results are acceptable with the sleep physician. Once the appliance is verified and approved we will continue to see the patient for follow up appointments annually.

Insurance and Cost:

Fort Worth Snoring & Sleep Center is contracted with most all major medical insurances for treatment of Obstructive Sleep Apnea. If we are not contracted with the patient's insurance, we would be happy to assist the patient in filing for reimbursements. We also offer special discounts and payment plans when needed.

Medical Insurance and Sleep Apnea Therapy

Most PPO medical plans cover oral sleep appliances. Our team can verify your coverage and explain to you how your specific policy applies to sleep apnea treatment. We are even in-network with most major medical PPO plans, which can allow you to save as much money as possible. For patients whose policy does not cover oral appliance therapy, or who do not have medical coverage, we offer a number of options to help make treatment more affordable.
